Symbiosis & Circularity since 2009
Welcome to Leaneco AB
Smart ideas for applying cutting-edge research to sustainable community development through collaboration
We can
co-create opportunities for you
Since the start in 2009, we have established an extensive network of enablers for innovation processes.
Do you want to collaborate with us for new system solutions and applications that contribute to the transition to a circular economy?
WHAT
We are doing....
01
We are in close contact with the research community regarding the current trends for sustainable development.
02
We analyze research areas and look for application opportunities for symbioses and resource efficiency
03
03
We create the conditions for system changes, innovation and commercialization processes

WHAT We have been up to ?
We took the initiative to investigate new possibilities for recycling excess-heat at Ovako. We have initiated and run a long series of research projects through the University of Gävle which has now led to an innovative cooling method that can not only recover excess heat, it can also create unique properties in metallic materials and components. A company is formed around the technology and HiG runs a test bed in the area where large parts of the Swedish metal industry are involved.
We involved a research group with world-leading competencies for flow calculations to create new opportunities for residual heat-based greenhouse production. several research and development projects at the University of Gävle have now led to a new method based on Confluent Jet technology that insulates the greenhouses so effectively that low-grade surplus heat can be used for production in greenhouses all year round. A test environment has been set up in Hofors Municipality and a company has been established to commercialize the technology.
Throughout the years, we have been an inspiring force for sustainable development. We have been involved, responsible and originators of a long series of projects that contributed to making the industrial cluster in Bergslagen aware of the needs and opportunities for a transition to a circular economy. CPC has been project manager for projects such as Sustainable transport, Ecosystem services, Locally farmed fish, etc., all aimed at investigating opportunities and conditions for the Bergslagen cluster companies.
WHAT´S UP In CPC right now?
We are always involved in exciting projects and interesting development processes. Scroll down to see some current examples of what we're up to. If you feel like you want to know more, give us tips and ideas, or participate, we'd be happy if you get in touch with us.
We develop the conditions for all people to participate in the transition through social responsibility
Clean Production Center has always worked with inclusion and diversity. We have had students from all over the world in development assignments and degree projects. We have always collaborated with municipalities in various projects and sought opportunities to create meetings across sector boundaries and professional groups. People who are outside the labor market always have an opportunity to be inspired and participate in practical activities in connection with various research processes we are involved in. Now we are helping to create the Haga model in Hofors, where people who are far from the labor market are given the opportunity to take controlled steps towards a enjoyable professional life.
Agroclimate Sweden AB is looking for a new project at the Swedish Agricultural Agency with support from the Rural Development Fund in the EU
Agroclimate Sweden AB will now further develop technology that provides opportunities for completely new greenhouse buildings with optimal climate conditions for desired crops. The Clean Production Center and the University of Gävle support the process and contribute with collaboration opportunities and work in parallel to pinpoint new opportunities for regional development and a new greenhouse industry in the region.
Analysis of the possibilities for industrial symbioses in sparsely populated areas
We have an assignment from the municipality of Härjedalen to analyze the possibilities around Sveg for
the development of growth opportunities through industrial symbioses. We analyze material and energy flows of existing actors,
identify new opportunities and new actors who can be involved in creating new sustainable development in the countryside
